The northern part of Pakistan where the three major mountain ranges of the Karakoram, the Himalayas, and the Hindu Kush meet, is chock-full of spectacular, jaw-dropping vistas. Take part in this exciting trip, which will take you through northern Pakistan by land. From the foot of Nanga Parbat (8,126m), the world's 9th tallest mountain, we will cross the Deosai Plateau, a veritable “Garden in the Sky,” to Skardu in the Indus Valley. Afterward, we will visit Hunza and Upper Hunza, and then on to the Khunjerab Pass (4,700m) in the Pamir Plateau, which forms the border with China. Next, we will continue eastward, crossing the Shandur Pass and heading to the foothills of the Hindu Kush mountains. We will visit the valley of the Kalash, encounter a beautiful indigenous group, and get an excellent view of the highest peak in the Hindu Kush, Tirich Mir (7,708m).
