It takes 45 minutes by car from the city of Amritsar in India to reach Attari, a town on the border with Pakistan. From here, you can cross the border into Pakistan on foot. The Wagah border flag ceremony is held every evening—though it is far from the only thing to see in the historic city of Lahore. You’ll be able to visit the magnificent Badshahi Mosque, Lahore Fort, Shalimar Gardens, take a stroll through the old town, and of course see the Lahore Museum, which houses the famous Fasting Siddhartha statue. Finally, don’t forget to have a nice dinner on Lahore’s lively Food Street!
