This tour will allow you to bask in the mountainous scenery of Pakistan, visit Fairy Meadow, which offers a view of Nanga Parbat (the world's 9th tallest mountain), and explore the region of Hunza, which is known as a veritable Shangri-La. At the tour’s outset, you can embark on a three-hour hike to Fairy Meadow, where you’ll reach a scenic spot with a great view of the north face of Nanga Parbat. This is the perfect place to enjoy the view of the mountains in both the morning and evening.
Along the Karakoram Highway, we will stop to appreciate the rock art on the banks of the Indus River—art which will be soon submerged when the Indus River dam is completed—and also visit the Gandhara archeological ruins in Taxila, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Itinerary

01
Travel from Islamabad to Chilas. On the way, we’ll stop to look at the rock art of Shatial.
*During the summer, the Kaghan Valley and Babusar Pass routes, which feature beautiful scenery, can be used instead. In that case, it will not be possible to see the rock art of Shatial.
02
Travel from Chilas to Raikot, then to Fairy Point by four-wheel drive vehicle. From here, it is a three-hour hike to Fairy Meadow. After arriving, you’ll be able to enjoy the view of Nanga Parbat in the evening.
03
In the morning, you’ll have another chance to enjoy the view of the north face of Nanga Parbat. Afterward, we’ll walk down to Fairy Point and take a four-wheel drive vehicle down to Raikot, after which we will head north along the Karakoram Highway to the center of Hunza, Karimabad. On the way, we’ll stop at the Nanga Parbat Viewpoint and the Rakaposhi Viewpoint.
04
A full-day visit to the Hunza Valley, including Baltit Fort, the water channel walk, and Altit village. In the evening, you can enjoy the view of the mountains of the Karakoram, including both Spantik and Rakaposhi, against the backdrop of the setting sun from Duiker Hill.
05
A day trip from Karimabad to upper Hunza and the Khunjerab Pass (4,700m), which is on the border with China. On the way, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the northern mountainous region of Pakistan, including Attabad Lake, the Hussaini suspension bridge, and the Passu glacier.
